How to Clean a Shark Vacuum: 8 Steps
Step 1: Unplug and Disassemble
Before you clean your Shark vacuum, you'll need to unplug it.
Then, remove the dust cup and any filters that are present in the Dust Cup Filter Chamber by pressing on them firmly with your fingers until they pop out of place.
Discard these items or wash them if they are reusable. If the dust cup or filter chamber is full of dust and dirt, we recommend washing them in the sink with soap and warm water.
This will allow you to clean any hair or dust out from inside your vacuum cleaner!
Step 2: Empty the Dust Canister
The next step is to empty the dust canister.
To do this, hold the vacuum cleaner over a trash can and press down on the lever located at the bottom of the machine.
This will release the dust and dirt from inside the canister so you can discard it.
Step 3: Clean the Filters
Next, you'll want to clean the filters. To do this, soak them in warm water and soap for a few minutes before rinsing them off with water.
Allow the filters to air dry completely before reinserting them into the vacuum cleaner.
